Health and Safety

There are two ways that attendees, exhibitors, press and staff may qualify for entry into NAB Show.

1.)   Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination

According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), a person is considered fully vaccinated:  

• 2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, or  

• 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.  

Booster shots are not a requirement of full vaccination status by the CDC, but they are recommended for additional protection against COVID-19. Should the CDC change the criteria of full vaccination, NAB will update the policies and protocols to align with the new requirements.  

Accepted COVID-19 vaccinations include those approved or authorized for emergency use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Center for Disease Control (CDC) or the World Health Organization (WHO). Examples of these vaccinations include:

• Novavax/Nuvaxovid
• Pfizer-BioNTech/Comirnaty 
• Serum Institute of India/COVISHIELD
• Serum Institute of India/COVOVAX
• Oxford/AstraZeneca/AZD1222 
• Janssen/Ad26.COV 2.S (developed by Johnson & Johnson) 
• Moderna/Spikevax
• Sinopharm (Beijing)/Covilo
• Sinovac/CoronaVac 
• Bharat Biotech/COVAXIN 

Mixed COVID-19 vaccine schedules of approved, authorized and/or recognized vaccines by the FDA, CDC or the WHO, are permitted to establish full vaccination status. 

2.)   Proof of a negative COVID-19 test

According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC) acceptable tests include molecular tests, such as Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests and antigen tests, often referred to as rapid tests.

Home tests are accepted as proof of a negative COVID-19 test result. Take the test within 48 hours of picking up your NAB Show badge. Then take a picture of the negative test result against a sheet of paper with your full name and date.

Steps to provide proof of full vaccination:

1. Enter the Verification Portal. This link was also provided  in your NAB Show registration confirmation email.
2. Fill out all the fields and upload a picture of your vaccine card.
3. Verify all your information and click submit.

Upon successful verification of your vaccination status, you will receive an email and mobile text if provided, with your Digital Health Pass to be shown on site. DO NOT wait to submit your proof of full vaccination. Take three minutes and submit it now for fast and hassle-free access to NAB Show.

Steps to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test:

1. Take your COVID-19 test within 48 hours of picking up your NAB Show badge.
2. Enter the Verification Portal. NOTE- Negative test submissions will be accepted starting on April 18, 2022 and must be taken within 48 hours of picking up your badge.
3. Fill out all the fields and upload a picture of your negative COVID-19 test result. For home tests, please include your name and the date of the test included in the image.
4. Verify all your information and click submit.

Upon successful verification of your negative test, you will receive an email and mobile text if provided, with your Digital Health Pass to be shown on site.

Pre-verified with Digital Health Pass

Participants that use the Verification Portal and have been successfully pre-verified will simply need to present a photo ID and their Digital Health Pass on their mobile device or printed form at any satellite registration locations or LVCC registration locations*. Once both items have been shown, individuals will be directed to registration to pick up their badge. *Click here for exhibitor registration locations and access.

No Digital Health Pass and Need Manual Verification

Participants without a Digital Health Pass or who have not preregistered for a badge will need to be manually verified on site prior to picking up a badge. Individuals will need to show a photo ID and proof of vaccination or proof of a negative test result taken within 48 hours of picking up their badge.

Manual verification is available at four full service registration locations* at the LVCC.  Once successfully verified, individuals will be given a verification card and will be directed to registration to pick up their badge. No Digital Health Pass and Need COVID-19 Test at the LVCC

COVID-19 testing will be available for those individuals that have not been pre-verified, do not have proof of full vaccination or do not have proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 48 hours of picking up their badge. Testing will be at the expense of the individual and cost $170 for PRC and $50 for Antigen. Testing stations will be located at West Hall Registration area and Central Hall First Aid room.

Masks are recommended (but not required) for all exhibitors, attendees and staff at NAB Show. Recommended masks include N95, K95, KN95, disposable surgical mask or a cloth mask.

NAB is working with health officials and expert consultants to monitor the situation and apply appropriate health and safety protocols for the timeframe in which the show will be held. This includes the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD), the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) and other appropriate global, federal, state and local health organizations.

The following health and safety measures will be in place during NAB Show:

• A negative COVID-19 test result or proof of full vaccination will be required for entry by all attendees, exhibitors, speakers and staff
• Masks are recommended (but not required) to be worn by all participants as designed to fully cover the mouth and nose
• Touchless registration system will be in place for participants to get their badge
• Proper cleaning protocols, disinfection techniques and work practices are in place by the LVCC and NAB
• HVAC upgrades have been installed at the LVCC to allow for greater ventilation as well as the use of air filters with a quality rating of MERV 14 (hospital grade filtration system)
• Meeting rooms and floor theaters will not be set at capacity to allow for socially distancing
• Transparent partitions will be placed in areas that require closer contact between visitors
• Hand sanitizer stations will be available in public spaces, meeting room corridors, show floor areas and food and beverage areas
• Increased medical staff will be onsite with reserved medical rooms
• An OnMed® telehealth station is available at the LVCC in North Hall to offer on-demand, convenient and affordable access to health care, including COVID-19 testing.
• The UMC Convention Testing Center is just steps away from the convention center and offers COVID-19 testing for travelers and convention attendees for $130 per test. Results are produced and delivered within 24 hours.  
• A free contact tracing mobile app, developed by the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services, is available and will notify anyone if they have likely been exposed to COVID-19.

Event Medical Services will offer on site COVID-19 testing to NAB Show participants at the expense of the individual.  Clinicians will be available to administer testing at the Central Hall First Aid office throughout the entire event. Additional testing will be available Sunday thru Wednesday at West Hall.  Cost of testing for attendees and exhibitors will be $50 for Rapid Antigen tests and $170 for PCR Tests.
