ABC’s Wide World of Sports

The long-running sports anthology show, which aired from 1961-1998, is this year’s television honoree for the NAB Broadcasting Hall of Fame. Legendary journalist Jim McKay served as the longtime host of the iconic sports series, which featured athletes and competitions from across the globe that were not traditionally broadcast in the United States.

ABC’s Wide World of Sports will be inducted on April 17, 2023, during the NAB Broadcasting Hall of Fame ceremony on the Main Stage.
