Our Commitment to Sustainability
The sustainability program at this year’s NAB Show also includes these initiatives:
- Exhibitors presenting sustainable products at NAB Show are spotlighted in the MyNAB Show Planner and highlighted on the show floor with signage in their booth.
- Floor tours will look at how sustainability informs the process of data and metadata management, how Web3 technologies can lower carbon emissions, and the video industry’s race to net zero carbon emissions.
- The NABiQ innovation series invites participants to brainstorm and design the future of sustainable streaming and the reduction of carbon emissions among a growing server demand and a desire for seamless streaming experiences.
- Many sessions will present industry case studies and proven solutions for employees, customers and communities seeking a more sustainable future in media and entertainment. A particular highlight will be the panel discussion on Main Stage titled Why Sustainability in Media Matters, held April 16, in conjunction with the Excellence in Sustainability Awards ceremony.

Go Eco-Friendly
Use public transportation. Take advantage of free shuttles. Jump on the monorail. Share a taxi. Walk to the LVCC. April temperatures in Las Vegas average a high of 81 ̊ F / 27 ̊ C and a low of 45 ̊ F / 7 ̊ C.
Take Only What You Need
Use the NAB Show app over grabbing a program. Scan QR codes at exhibitor booths and take a pass on literature and premium items that you are confident you will not use.
BYOWB
Bring your own water bottle or reuse your plastic bottle. There are 50 convenient water filling stations throughout the LVCC.
Look Before You Throw
Make sure to use the proper bins for recycling and waste. Blue bins are reserved for recyclable materials.
Choose Plant-based Meals & Snacks
Check out 50 Shades of Green food trucks in Silver Lot and find an assortment of vegetarian options at dining locations in the convention center.
Return or Reuse Your Lanyard
At the close of the show drop off your lanyard for recycling. Or repurpose it in a variety of applications when you get home. The material is durable, extremely strong and sweat resistant. Did someone say water bottle carrier?
In Your Hotel Room
Conserve Energy
Enable energy saving features on your devices when in use, such as dimming your displays.
Conserve Water
Turn off water taps when not in use and refrain from starting the shower minutes before stepping in. Opt to reuse your towels over requesting fresh ones every day from housekeeping.
Recycle Effectively
Ask for a recycling bag for your hotel room if one isn’t in place. Rinse or remove food residue from takeout containers and recycle the packaging. Dispose of batteries properly; most hotels offer a recycle bin in their business center or at the front desk.
Be Eco-Responsible
Adjust the thermostat to 78 ̊ F / 25 ̊ C before leaving your hotel room. Turn off all the lights. Turn off the TV. Unplug your computer and personal electronics.
